3/13/2020 - COMMUNITY REMINDER REGARDING DOGS OWNED BY RESIDENTS:
This is a courtesy reminder to please make sure your dogs are on a leash when not inside or in a fenced area per section 21 of the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Plantation Oaks. Thank you for your cooperation.
Contact Mark Sheme at Associa with questions.
Complaints have been received from residents of the community regarding dog waste. There has been an increased volume of dog waste that has been found on the common areas as well as on the private front and side lawns of residents.
If you are a dog owner, please be respectful of your neighbors’ property as well as the common grounds.
In case you are not aware, St. Johns County Law requires that pet owners pick up after their pets and properly dispose of their waste. Furthermore, animal fecal matter serves as a food source for rats and will encourage a rat infestation if it accumulates on the grounds of the community. A rat infestation, once it is established is a health hazard in itself, and is very difficult to completely extinguish.
All residents are asked to take pride in the community by adhering to the community rules and County Law regarding disposal of pet waste.
Plantation Oaks provides Dog Waste Stations throughout the community, please use them.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
